Are A-Sha noodles vegan?
Yes! The majority of A-Sha noodles in our classic range are vegan — including our Tainan, Mandarin, Hakka, Knife Cut Guanmiao, and Meteor noodles. For specific product or allergen details, please refer to the individual product listing on our website.
Are A-Sha noodles non-GMO?A-Sha Foods is committed to offering high-quality, non-GMO products. Our current range from A-Sha Foods USA is non-GMO certified, and we are continuing to expand our non-GMO range in Australia.
Do your noodles contain gluten?
Yes. A-Sha noodles contain gluten due to the use of premium wheat flour.How do I cook the noodles properly?
Cooking times vary by noodle type. Please follow the instructions on the back of each pack (or on our website) for best results.
- Tainan: 2 mins
- Mandarin: 3 mins
- Hakka: 4 mins
- Knife Cut Guanmiao: 6–7 mins
- Meteor: 6–7 mins
Cooking for less time than recommended may result in a doughy or undercooked texture.
Can I cook the noodles in the microwave?
Yes, A-Sha noodles can be cooked in the microwave. Use a large, microwave-safe bowl and ensure the noodle block is fully submerged in water.
- Tainan: 3 mins
- Mandarin: 4 mins
- Hakka: 5 mins
Note: Knife Cut Guanmiao and Meteor noodles are not recommended for microwave cooking due to their thickness.

Does A-Sha Foods use shared production equipment with products containing nuts?
Yes. Our facility uses shared equipment that also processes products containing tree nuts and peanuts. However, we adhere to SQF-certified global food safety standards, and all equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between production runs. If you have severe allergies, please exercise caution and consult your health professional before consumption.
Are A-Sha noodles made using bleached or unbleached flour?
All A-Sha noodles are made using unbleached flour.
What is the return policy?
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund if your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.
As our food products are perishable, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.
If you receive an incorrect or damaged item, please contact info@ashafoodaus.com within 7 days of receiving your order. Please include:

We’ll review your claim and, if approved, send a replacement or issue a refund.
For purchases made through retailers (e.g. Woolworths), please return the product directly to the store with your receipt, in accordance with their returns policy.
